FACTS Engineering switched over to full solar power in May 2020!

Here are some facts about our new solar power system and a video showing our facility!

  •  System is warranted for the full life of 25 years
  •  It will power our entire 60,000 square foot facility.
  • Assuming a modest 3.78% inflation rate for the cost of utility electricity per year, we will eliminate $1,363,086 in power company costs over the life of the system.
  • We will save 7,415 tons of CO2 over the life of the system.  This is equal to planting 172,770 trees or 756,330 gallons of gasoline (14,830,000 auto miles).

  • Annual Production 362,000 kWh
  • Eliminate the need to burn 3,613 tons of coal
  • Offset the CO2 emissions from the annual electric use of 841 homes.
  • Recycling 23,431 tons of waste instead of sending it to landfill.
  • .47 gallons per kWh consumed by power plants through evaporation, 4 million gallons

To break-even, utility costs would need to go down 5% a year!

If we had a 20-year loan at 4.5% to pay for the solar system, our loan payments would be less than what we are currently paying for electricity.
