Great American Teach In 2017

On November 16, David Tietz participated in the Great American Teach In at J.W. Mitchell High School representing FACTS Engineering. He presented to nearly 200 students on the ins and outs of the life of a Design Engineer, including PLC use and other FACTS projects like UGro-IT Automated Garden System and the ViewMARQ displays. He explained how FACTS is a full-stack manufacturer involved in all aspects of the design process from raw materials to ready-to-ship products. He then explained how high school students can get involved now if they are interested in a career in electrical or software engineering. This included recommending a starting point by developing on Arduino and Raspberry Pi boards now to gauge their interest in the field. Thank you David for working to inspire the next generation of innovators!
